Every year the University of Liège receives many non-francophone students,
teachers and other audiences so they can take part on one of our many French
learning programmes.

I am pleased to transmit herewith the flyer with our study programmes for
august 2015. We would like to ask you to disseminate this information to
whom it may interest, any individual, university or institution.

Présentation

Liège est une grande métropole francophone, à la fois prestigieuse et

moderne. Traversée par la Meuse, fleuve européen important, Liège

séduit par ses rues et ses places animées, ses monuments historiques,

ses musées d’art, ses activités culturelles, ses quartiers populaires, ses

restaurants pittoresques... Mais c’est surtout la convivialité qui y règne,

l’accueil qu’on y reçoit, le dynamisme de ses habitants qui font de Liège

une ville unique. On l’appelle d’ailleurs la « Cité Ardente ». Tout le monde

s’y sent comme chez soi tant il est agréable d’y vivre et facile de s’y faire

des amis. L’Université de Liège est réputée autant pour son enseignement

de qualité que pour ses recherches scientifiques de pointe. On y reçoit

depuis toujours des étudiants étrangers qui y apprennent le français

dans les meilleures conditions, en interaction avec le monde environnant.

LANGUE ÉTRANGÈRE À TOUS LES NIVEAUX, SOUS DIFFÉRENTES FORMES :

qui souhaitent :

> débuter/intensifier/perfectionner leur apprentissage de la langue française,

Ces formations sont assurées par une équipe d’enseignants qualifiés, expérimentés

et dynamiques qui recourent à des méthodes stimulantes et efficaces :

pédagogies communicatives et interactives, conversations et travaux en petits

groupes, laboratoire de langue et multimédias...

Quand ?

> pendant l’été, durant trois semaines (20 heures de cours par semaine),

> n’importe quand pendant l’année pour les groupes déjà constitués (stages

« sur mesure »).

Un programme d’activités culturelles (excursions, spectacles, visites de

musées...) est proposé à prix économique pendant les stages.

Pour étudiants / pour professeurs de français étrangers

> un stage préparé en fonction des besoins, des motivations, des objectifs

spécifiques d’écoles, d’universités, d’entreprises ou d’autres organismes ;

> des méthodes efficaces et stimulantes adaptées au niveau et au projet du

groupe, en interaction avec le milieu environnant ;

> un programme d’activités culturelles pour découvrir la ville, la région, le pays.

Ces stages

peuvent comprendre

les modules suivants :

- Didactique générale du FLE (Français Langue Etrangère) ;

- Utilisation des TICE ;

- L’oral et l’écrit en FLE ;

- Stylistique et registres de langue ;

- Français sur objectifs spécifiques (économie, droit, Europe...) ;

- Cultures et littératures francophones.

D’autres modules peuvent être organisés à la demande des groupes.

Pendant toute l’année universitaire, cours intensif (pour tous les niveaux)

de 15h par semaine selon trois cycles de 10 semaines chacun.

(pour titulaires, francophones ou non, d’un diplôme universitaire de 1

cycle)

Formation théorique et pratique d’une année au moins comportant 3

volets : didactique, linguistique et culturel.

> special courses designed to meet the specific needs, purposes and goals

of schools, universities, businesses or other institutions ;

> efficient and stimulating methods adapted to the level and goal of the

group, including immersion in the surrounding environment ;

> cultural activities, exploring the city, the region and the country.

These programmes

may include

the following units :

- General didactics of FLE ;

- Use of ICT in education ;

- Oral and written in FLE ;

- Sylistics and language register ;

- French for specific purposes (economics, law, business…) ;

- Cultures and literatures of the French-speaking world / Francophone

cultures and literatures.

Other units can be offered upon request of the group.

The University of Liège also offers other courses in

French as a foreign and second language.

Master’s Degree in Teaching French as a foreign or a second language

(for holders of a Bachelors or equivalent, native French-speaking or not)

Theoretical and applied teacher training for a minimum of one year which

includes 3 parts : teaching methods/didactics, linguistics and culture.

Certificate in teaching French as a foreign or a second language

A one-year (minimum) theoretical and practical training programme which

includes 3 parts : teaching methods / didactics, linguistics and culture.

Daytime courses

During the academic year, intensive courses at all levels ; 15 hours a week,
