The cycle of seminars Gender and comparative law provides an introduction to debates on gender and the law from a comparative perspective. Seminars will be held by dr. Elena Valentina Zonca. The main contents are: gender and constitutions; citizenship, rights and gender inequalities; anti-discrimination law; gender and multiculturalism.

A combination of theoretical framework and discussion of case studies will encourage students to address comparative law studies from a gender perspective.

The cycle of seminars will be held in room 425, central building, left wing, 4th floor, on the following dates, for a total of 10 hours:

Monday 18 April 2016     h 14-17: Introduction. Gender and constitutions.

Thursday 21 April 2016    h 10-12Between citizenship and human rights: disentangling gender inequalities

Thursday 5 May 2016     h 10-12: Anti-discrimination law. The role of gender in multiculturalism debates

Thursday 12 May 2016   h 10-13The role of gender in multiculturalism debates  

 

Seminars can be joined by all interested students. Registration is required. Seminars are optional, hence participants can apply for F credits.
