Dear Students of the class of  “Growth Economics” , I am aware of your concern  and  I would like to reassure you that I will make any necessary  effort to accomplish your preparation. That includes extra classes and extra  office hours and possibly a redefinition of the syllabus in order not to miss the regular proceeding of your studies. In the meantime you should consider starting to  read the course textbook by Weil.
