POLYARCHIES
Edizioni EUT
Polyarchies is a journal aiming at favoring the encounter of the disciplines of the social sciences and humanities, ranging from sociology and political science to history, law and philosophy. The analysis of political and social change can be indeed investigated under different perspectives and with the help of a variety of methodological tools. Polyarchies focuses on the current processes of supranational integration, the democratization processes in the world, the transformation of contemporary societies under the pressure of immigration and of the environmental challenges, the crises on the “electoral democracy” in Europe and the development of a deliberative model of democracy, the potential “clash of civilization” and the socio-religious conflict, the resurgence of nationalisms and micro-regionalism in Europe and in the world, the integration of the policy processes into networks and of communities in new frameworks and governance systems. The journal has an anonymous referee system and two issues per year are expected. Although contributions from multiple authors and collections of papers will be considered for publications, Polyarchies privileges the publication of single author short monographs.
